This skill has absolutely no value in PvE. This only prevents resurrection, not animating undead.

Well, not necessarily. I think some monk bosses ressurect people. I know the Balthazar's Cursed(the guy with Martyr) in Perdition Rock has rebirth.
But, for the most part, frozen soil is worthless in PvE

its not really pointless, if you have a party member that is really, really, really hurting your party, you can frozen soil him to keep the rest of your party from ressing him.....

I just bought it last night in Marhan's Grotto. If you feel like you must capture it I've seen it used by ranger bosses in Snake Dance. If you're not that far in the game I think, don't hold me to this, I saw it used by a ranger boss in Sanctum Cay, or one of the missions around Kryta.

I find it useful to keep my ignorant ally dead in PvE and leave his corpse behind.

LoL!! I think I'm going do that to have some fun. But seriously, try melandru's resilience (dragon's lair) in PvP.

Does it stop your own team from rezing also?

Yes, it does. All spirits affect everyone in range, friend or foe.

2+ priests of sorrow, 2+ brute rebel spirit healers..
sorrows furnace (and the couple spots those priests are out in footprint) might be a reasonable exception as they're such a pain

Sorrows Furnace did not exist when Cymmina posted. So during the time of posting it was correctly stated since none of the bosses really res except Thirsty River, but it doesn't work against that res.

actually, it's kinda nice if you go down in the area of the "Villainy of Galraith" quest. there are monsters there that use light of dwayna, it's a real pain
